Travelman Short Stories offer works of classic and modern fiction, printed on single sheets of paper, folded like maps with elegant, arresting illustrations. You do not have to open your Travelman right out as it is designed to be read like a book. Each of these collectable editions is published in numbered series and colour-coded into one of several categories (as seen on the navigation bar above). The inaugural titles which will be available at airports and mainline stations throughout the UK, will include works by P.G.Wodehouse, D.H.Lawrence, Evelyn Waugh, Katherine Mansfield and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The series is the idea of the journalist, writer and broadcaster Alexander Waugh, and came out of a conversation he had with the master short story writer William Trevor. The concept in some ways looks back to the hugely successful two-penny short stories that Rudyard Kipling used to sell on the Indian railways.
Each front cover boasts Travelman's distinctive logo, a pre-war illustration by George Marrow of a man in tails carrying a stack of books.
